About this piece
Midnight Hare is a made-to-order men’s pendant necklace conceived as a power talisman for stage and high-presence dressing: substantial, graphic and unmistakably personal.
The form abstracts a rabbit crest into an armour-like silhouette, with swept, blade-like ears and a shielded torso built in raised 18ct rose-gold walls. Polished rose-gold bevels meet satin recessed surfaces, while black-rhodium shadow channels add depth and nocturnal contrast.
The piece is pavé-set throughout with approximately 5.00ct total of lab-grown stones — lab-grown white diamonds in mixed brilliant cuts alongside lab-grown rubies, pink sapphires, champagne diamonds and black diamonds — set densely across the form rather than around a single feature stone. A reinforced hidden rear bail is designed for an 8–10 mm Cuban-link chain, giving this 55–65 mm talisman its intended presence. Final stone details are confirmed by the studio before making.
Metals & stones in this piece
Rose gold is an alloy of gold, copper, and silver, giving it its distinctive warm, pink hue. Its colour and durability are excellent for daily wear, though the copper content means it can develop a subtle, personal patina over many years. Platinum is a naturally white, hypoallergenic, and exceptionally dense precious metal. It is highly resistant to tarnish and corrosion, and while it develops a soft, satiny finish called a 'patina' with wear, its substantial weight means it loses minimal metal over a lifetime. Lab-grown diamonds are physically, chemically, and optically identical to mined diamonds, offering the same exceptional hardness (10 on the Mohs scale) and brilliance. A polished finish on both metals provides a high shine, which will gently soften with regular wear but can be easily restored by a professional polisher.
Caring for this piece
For daily care, clean your jewellery with a soft, lint-free cloth. For a deeper clean, use a mild solution of warm water and a few drops of gentle dish soap, scrubbing gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Always store pieces separately in a soft-lined box or pouch to prevent scratches. Avoid exposing rose gold, platinum, and diamonds to harsh chemicals, including chlorine, bleach, and household cleaners. Remove jewellery before swimming, exercising, or applying lotions and perfumes. While diamonds are extremely hard, they can chip from a sharp blow, and platinum's soft patina can be polished back to a high shine by your jeweller when desired.
